Rene' Uzee, a native of New Orleans, understands the challenges of battling cancer, and WINNING!

Hurricane Katrina forced him to relocate his his home, and business of 25 years, Forum Salon, to Baton Rouge, La. Six months later, he was diagnosed with CLL.

"A mere bump in the road."  Mr. Uzee says, then adds, "There is Great Power Deeply Embedded in all that Appears Adverse"

All profits from the sales of "Yellow Jack", T-shirts, baseball caps, and signed bookmarks will be given directly to, CLL - Global Research Foundation, with the hope of soon developing a cure for CLL.

CLL Global Research Foundation began as a concept from patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The idea was to provide a spotlight on CLL and to accelerate CLL research. Therefore, CLL Global is committed to accelerating progress towards the control of CLL and ultimately finding a cure for the disease as quickly as possible. To accomplish this, we promote a novel structure for research. We preferentially fund projects that translate into rapid clinical applications. We pride ourselves in complementing, rather than replacing, other funding mechanisms by accelerating new ideas, which allows researchers the opportunity for increased funding from other resources.

CLL Global’s success is due to the generosity of our supporters and the intelligence and passion of the scientific community.  The role of our supporters in CLL Global is simple: to invest in the future of patients with CLL and their loved ones and to bring awareness to their communities about the disease. Our challenge to patients and families lies in both continual self-education about CLL and eliciting innovative research from the medical community. CLL Global asks patients, scientists and other organizations to join us in putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together to cure CLL.
